1. Declarative Sentences
Declarative sentences yaitu kalimat yang menyatakan suatu isu atau inspirasi. Kalimat ini bisa berbentukfakta atau penyataan tentang suatu pemikiran . Tanda baca yang digunakan yaitu titik di akhir kalimat. Esai formal atau laporan biasanya disusun hampir keseluruhan dengan memakai declarative sentence.
Contoh Declarative Sentences:
- The inhibition will be opened in two hours.
- August 17th is Indonesia’s Independence Day.
- He is a gentleman that I have ever met in my life.
- Pink is my favourite colour.
- Indonesia is a tropical country.

2. Imperative Sentences
Imperative sentences yakni kalimat yang mengekspresikan suatu perintah atau undangan, bisa juga memberikan cita-cita atau keinginan. Kalimat ini mampu menggunakan tanda titik atau tanda seru di final kalimatnya, tergantung pada seberapa besar lengan berkuasa emosi yang ingin diekspresikan dalam kalimat tersebut.

- Go away!
- Open the door.

3. Exclamatory Sentences
Exclamatory sentences mengekspresikan emosi yang besar lengan berkuasa. Bisa jadi tentang emosi kegembiraan, terkejut, atau bahkan kesedihan. Kalimat ini selalu di simpulan dengan tanda seru sehingga kita bisa dengan gampang mengenali jenis kalimat ini.

4. Interrogative Sentences
Interrogative sentences yaitu kalimat pertanyaan. Kita bisa memakai kalimat ini jika kita ingin mendapatkan informasi. Kalimat ini juga mudah untuk dimengerti alasannya adalah kalimat ini senantiasa diakhiri dengan tanda tanya.
